MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Montgomery Zoo is announcing the exhibit debut of Ozzi, a female giraffe calf born in August.
Since her birth, Ozzi has been living with her mother, Ashley, in the comfort of the giraffe barn.
But now, at three months old, Ozzi is finally ready to join the herd.
The zoo is rotating outdoor time between JJ, Ozzi’s dad, in the mornings and Ozzi and Ashley in the afternoons, keeping the mother and calf separate from the father for now as a safety measure.
“Ozzi is growing quickly and showing off her playful personality,” said a zoo staff member. “She’s definitely JJ’s daughter. One hundred percent clumsy, goofy, and absolutely adorable.”…
