On Friday, Nov. 14, beginning at 11 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is closing all US 280 lanes at Pumphouse Road, according to a press release.
ALDOT said it is reaching a “significant milestone” in its 280 widening project by setting the first beams for the new Pumphouse Road Bridge and will be doing a total traffic closures for crews.
This could be a big deal if you’re one of the hordes of 280 drivers – 105,000 cars a day use at least part of that highway, according to ALDOT. Only interstate highways see more traffic in the area…
