MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WKRC) – A mother and her son were accused of stealing nearly $700,000 from a water company.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall announced the indictments of Sharon Lei Windham, 61, and her son, Cody Warren Windham, 40, for allegedly stealing a total of $680,305.14 from the Providence Water Authority.
Sharon Windham is accused of embezzling $539,804.10 in customer cash payments, failing to pay her own water bill amounting to $3,975.55, and providing unauthorized water services worth $17,925.49…
