Alabama Constitutional Amendment proposed to abolish death penalty

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A bill introduced this week by Alabama Representative Chris England proposes asking Alabama voters if they want to end the death penalty in the state.

The measure calls for a constitutional amendment to be placed on the Alabama primary ballots for 2028.
