What Qualifies as a White Christmas?

The “probability of a white Christmas based on data from the 1981-2010 three-decade averages,” said the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). “A white Christmas is defined as having 1 inch or more of snow on the ground Christmas morning.”

Regional Probability of a White Christmas

According to The 2026 Old Farmer’s Almanac, “most of the United States will be seeing a milder, gentler winter than average.”
