MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission voted unanimously Thursday morning to award dispensary licenses to three companies — CCS of Alabama, RJK Holdings, and GP6 Wellness — marking a significant milestone in the state’s long-delayed medical cannabis program.
The licenses are set to take effect on Jan. 8, 2026, potentially bringing medical cannabis to Alabama patients more than four years after the Legislature first approved the program in 2021.
