Expiring healthcare tax credits raise concerns about hospital wait times

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The United States Congress has gone home for the rest of 2025 with enhanced premiums under the Affordable Care Act expiring on Dec. 31.

According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, roughly 465,000 Alabamians signed up for health insurance offered through the Affordable Care Act, sometimes referred to as ‘Obamacare,’ for 2025.
