DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A woman was shot on Saturday evening after a police chase, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
ALEA said the chase happened just before 4:30 p.m. when law enforcement received a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for a vehicle out of Dade County, Georgia.
Deputies with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Interstate 59 near the 201 mile marker. The ALEA said the driver refused to stop, leading troopers and officers with the Collinsville Police Department to join the chase.
