MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) Three people are dead following a fire at Woodley Terrace Apartments on December 21, and questions are mounting about what city officials, tenants and property managers knew, and what, if anything, was left unrepaired before the blaze.
What happened?
A fire broke out at Woodley Terrace on Dec. 21 that claimed three lives, including 64-year-old Marine Corps veteran Johnny Payne. Fire investigators have not yet released a cause, and city leaders say any additional action will depend on the findings of that ongoing investigation…
