Democratic candidates to unite in Montgomery today

Democratic congressional hopefuls from across Alabama will gather at the state party headquarters Wednesday to promote what they call a unified, forward-looking agenda.

The 1 p.m. event at 501 Adams Ave. in Montgomery will feature Clyde Jones, candidate for the 1st District; Lee McInnis, 3rd District; Amanda Puszcek, 4th District; Andrew Sneed, 5th District; Keith Pilkington, 6th District; and Dakarai Larriett, who is running for the state’s open U.S. Senate seat.

“Decency, dignity and compassion aren’t just words; they are the Alabama values that define us,” Puszcek said. “It is time our politics lived up to the people they represent. Today, candidates from across the state are standing together to reject the status quo of division. We are united in our mission to build a more just, equitable, and opportunity-filled future for the state we call home.”…
