Tallahassee, Florida – A notable shift to colder and windier conditions is underway across North Florida, South Georgia, and Southeast Alabama as a cold air mass moves into the region. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee reports that breezy northwest winds today will usher in much cooler temperatures tonight, setting the stage for freezing to near-freezing conditions early Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Sunday afternoon temperatures will fall steadily behind the cold front, with sustained winds of 10 to 20 mph and peak gusts around 30 mph. The highest likelihood of gusts exceeding 25 mph is expected west of the Flint River, across Southeast Alabama, and into the eastern Florida Panhandle.
