Police searching for wanted theft suspect in Alabama

ALABAMA — The Opelika Police Department is investigating a theft involving a rental truck that authorities say was obtained using fraudulent identification and a stolen credit card.

Police said the case involves a Penske truck rented from the Home Depot–Penske location at 2190 Tiger Town Parkway. The truck was rented on Oct. 12, 2025, and was scheduled to be returned on Oct. 15, 2025, but was never brought back.

During the investigation, officers determined that the suspect allegedly used a fake driver’s license and a stolen credit card to rent the vehicle. The case is being investigated as theft of property in the first degree…
