Several major roads in North Alabama are closed due to ice this morning.
Roadways and overpasses in Madison County are slick due to ice from overnight rain. Most notably, I-565’s eastbound and westbound lanes are closed.
Currently, Green Mountain Road, Bankhead Parkway, Memorial Parkway overpasses, Chapman Mountain from Highway 72 to just past Moore’s Mill Road, Oakwood Road to Orba Drive, Greenbrier Road, Capshaw Road and Wall Triana Highway between Capshaw Road and the area near Old Railroad Bed Road are closed…
