19 people charged in Alabama drug trafficking case

ALABAMA — Nineteen defendants have been charged in two separate federal indictments tied to a large drug trafficking conspiracy in Alabama, according to court records.

All 19 defendants are charged with conspiracy with intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl between February and December 2025. Federal prosecutors said 15 of the defendants are also charged with at least one count of using a communication facility, including a phone, to facilitate a drug trafficking crime.

The indictments stem from a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration, along with multiple local law enforcement agencies. Authorities said approximately 30 pounds of methamphetamine and fentanyl were seized during the investigation…
