Twice-deported suspect gets federal prison after Alabama drug, gun convictions

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A man from Mexico, who was in the United States illegally, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Agustin Osorio-Lopez, 42, from Hidalgo, Mexico, admitted to selling methamphetamine and marijuana, carrying a gun while dealing drugs, possessing a gun as someone not allowed to be in the country, and coming back after being deported.

“This defendant repeatedly broke federal law by sneaking back into the United States and committing serious drug and gun crimes,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Kevin Davidson of the Middle District of Alabama…
