HUDSONVILLE, Mich. — A Hudsonville teenager that was shot seven times in Alabama pleaded guilty to a federal machine gun charge Tuesday.
Ethan Carter, 19, took a plea deal in exchange for his other charges to be dropped, court documents revealed. Carter pleaded guilty to one count of Possession and Transfer of a Machine Gun, a felony that is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.
“People living in our at-risk neighborhoods already know how machinegun conversion devices have made gun violence much worse. We are doing all we can to find and stop the people who possess and sell this equipment.
