ALABAMA (WRBL) — The Alabama Public Service Commission (PSC) announced Thursday that the scheduled implementation of a new area code will begin in late February 2026.
According to PSC officials, the new ‘483’ area code will overlay the ‘334’ area code region starting on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026.
