The now former general manager of Eastdale Mall says he is no longer employed by the Montgomery retail center.
Brian Smith, who ran day-to-day operations at the mall, confirmed the change in a recent Facebook post.
“Sorry to inform everybody but as of today I have been laid off as General Manager of Eastdale Mall,” Smith wrote. “I did my very best to keep this mall alive, with minimal incidents, involved the community back in the mall, and that dark cloud that was over the Mall for a long period of time is gone because my ultimate goal was to Make.Eastdale.Great.Again. I appreciate everybody’s support while I was GM, and hope for the best for Eastdale Mall.”…
