Gov. Ivey has released a list of new appointments which include a new 4th Judicial District Circuit Court Judge and others with Tuscaloosa ties to various positions.
There will be a new Circuit Judge in the Fourth Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Dallas, Wilcox, Perry, Hale and Bibb counties. Gov. Kay Ivey has appointed Robert “Bryan” Jones of Selma as one of two new circuit court judges in the state. Teh other is James Lewis “Luke” Farmer of Roanoke was appointed Circuit Judge in the Fifth Judicial Circuit, which covers Chambers, Macon, Tallapoosa and Randolph counties.
The two are among 31 appointments to fill vacancies across the state, including a new district attorney for Lauderdale County.

Jones is a graduate of Auburn University and the Birmingham School of Law. He succeeds Circuit Judge Collins Pettaway Jr., who retired in February after 13 years on the Dallas County Circuit Court bench.
