Opelika daycare arson suspect continues race for Alabama House despite arrest

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A Candidate for the Alabama House Representatives, District 82, is continuing to run for office following recent charges with arson in the Opelika daycare fires.

On Tuesday night, Opelika police arrested 51-year-old, Terrence Kareem Johnson, on two counts of second-degree arson.

According to police, Johnson marked the third arrest made in the two Opelika daycare fires which were less than a week apart. The other two suspects arrested were 26-year-old, Michael Leon Green and 28-year-old, Dante Kharari Brundidge, both from Tuskegee…
