HCSO arrests Alabama man following traffic stop

On Monday, March 2, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 79, leading to the arrest of an Alabama man.

The passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Austin Lee Robbins of Slocomb, Alabama, provided the deputy with a false name. A warrant check revealed Robbins had an active warrant out of Alabama.

HCSO K9 Buck was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the area where Robbins had been seated revealed a package containing methamphetamine hidden under the seat cover…
