MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Some residents of Montgomery’s Garden District were evacuated from their homes Thursday because of a large gas leak, according to Montgomery Fire Rescue.
Crews responded about 11:20 a.m. to a reported gas leak in the 1300 block of South Hull Street and found a large gas main with a “significant” natural gas leak, the department said.
