MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Montgomery Police Department announced Thursday that the 26th Annual Deuce Komradz Picnic, previously scheduled for March 23 at Gateway Park will no longer take place at that location.
MPD said the decision was made to move the event out of an abundance of caution following an extended review and coordination with organizers and community members.
“Our top priority is the safety and well being of our residents,” MPD Chief Graboys said. ”After extensive coordination with organizers and the community, we determined that canceling the event at Gateway Park is the most responsible step to reserve safety.”…
