MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Monday is National Puppy Day and the Montgomery Humane Society is ready to show off the renovations to its shelter that houses hundreds of puppies every year.
Renovations started in September after time took its toll on the shelter. Weathered floors, rusted door frames and peeling paint on walls were common sights at the Montgomery Humane Society.
After decades of serving thousands of pets and people, the shelter needed a remodel to give the animals there a safe, clean functional space while they wait for their forever families…
