MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – When V.A. nurses Chris Wieser and Scott Boehm sat at the bar of Gail’s Down the Street Cafe for their lunch break, they didn’t know it then, but the pair were in the right place at the right time.
“We decided to come somewhere different; I hadn’t been here in like a year,” Wieser said. “We ordered our food and as soon as it arrived somebody said they needed help.”
They then rushed to the other side of the restaurant, found a man slumped over, determined he’d had a stroke, and rendered the necessary aid until paramedics arrived…
