COVINGTON COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Alabama Department of Public Health has issued an alert after confirming that a dog in Andalusia tested positive for rabies Monday.
According to ADPH, a veterinarian who suspected the dog was rabid sent it to Auburn for testing. The dog was then taken to the ADPH Bureau of Clinical Laboratories in Prattville where it was confirmed to be infected.
