A 22-year-old man, Dre’Shawn Thomas, was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of West South Boulevard and Rosa L. Parks Avenue during the early hours of Tuesday, March 25, 2026.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after 4 a.m. and found Thomas with severe, life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he fought for his life for two days. Sadly, he passed away on March 27, 2026.
