Applications now open for Montgomery County Commission summer apprentice program

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Montgomery County Commission is accepting applications for its Summer Apprenticeship Program, which gives local students and young adults a chance to learn how county government works.

The program runs for eight weeks and places participants in county offices where they work with staff in areas like public administration, public safety, infrastructure, communications and community services.

“This program gives participants a unique, firsthand look at how county government works day to day,” Commission Chairman Doug Singleton said. “It allows them to be part of the process, contribute in meaningful ways, and walk away with a better understanding of how their local government serves the community.”…
