MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The W.A. Gayle Planetarium will begin its second quarter public programming Saturday with two full-dome shows thanks to a brand new projection system.
The planetarium, located at Oak Park, has installed a “digital laser phosphor projector” to replace outdated equipment. The new system is over 2 times brighter than the original, projecting with higher contrast and color.
Two new shows will run every Saturday from April 11 through June 27: “Solar System Odyssey,” geared toward children, and “Out There — The Quest for Extrasolar Worlds,” for general audiences…
