Where is the cheapest gas in Alabama? Where are people paying the most?

Motorists in the central part of Alabama, as well as spots along the coast, are currently paying the least for gasoline, according to tracking by AAA.

The national average of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline today is $4.09, a slight dip from a week ago when it was $4.16 but a steep jump from a year ago when it was $3.16. The average national price for a gallon of diesel is $5.61 compared to $3.58 this point last year.

The average price in Alabama is $3.82 a gallon for regular unleaded, up from $3.42 a month ago and more than a dollar per gallon more than last year’s $2.79. Diesel is $5.40 a gallon, up from $3.37 a year ago…
