1 killed, 3 injured after vehicle leaves roadway, strikes tree in west Alabama

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – One person has died after their vehicle struck a tree in west Alabama.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 36-year-old Ashley M. Kornegay was killed after a vehicle that she was a passenger in left Alabama 216, near mile marker 3, and struck a tree at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18. Officials say Kornegay was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

According to ALEA, three other people in the vehicle, a 35-year-old, 19-year-old, and 14-year-old, were injured in the crash. Officials say the 35 and 19-year-old were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment and the 14-year-old was taken to an area hospital…
