An Alabama construction company is facing eight serious safety violations and a hefty fine following a worker fatality last year.
Investigators from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration said that in December 2025, Breland Homes Inc. — a home builder based in Huntsville — had workers install a sewage drainpipe in a Madison County subdivision, which lead to a trench collapsing on a worker.
