Tennessee’s new death penalty dilemma

NASHVILLE, Tenn. WZTV) — Tennessee’s death penalty protocol was called back into question this past week when the execution of convicted murdered Tony Caruthers of Memphis was postponed for a year.

Governor Bill Lee delayed the process for a full year after medical personal were unable to find a back up vein to deliver the lethal injection in case the primary port was compromised.
