MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Rutherford County commissioners voted Monday night to revisit their budget process to see whether they can afford a new computer-aided dispatch system for the county’s fire department, emergency medical services and emergency management.
A CAD is a software system used by 911 dispatch centers to receive calls, dispatch responders and track them in the field.
“This is vital information for our crews when they’re responding to a structure fire or a downed patient or whatever, and we know exactly what to expect when we get there.
