NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After being labeled the “worst state to live in,” a new study is giving Tennessee a different ranking.
U.S. News and World Report recently examined states based on thousands of data points to measure how well states are performing for their citizens. Some of the main factors states were ranked on included healthcare, education, economy, infrastructure and public safety.
Tennessee ranked worst state to live in for 2026
The annual ranking placed Tennessee 25th overall, which is a dramatic increase compared to another report where the Volunteer State ranked in the very last spot.
