MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) – Rutherford County Sheriff-elect Kenneth Barrett announced his executive command staff selections in a statement on his official Facebook page as he prepares to take the oath of office.
Barrett stated that he chose these leaders because they share his vision for the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO). He noted that the appointments focus on accountability, clear communication, professionalism, and building a positive culture within the agency. According to Barrett, the changes go beyond shifting titles and aim to establish a clear vision that will support deputies and serve Rutherford County residents for years to come.
The ten appointed members of Barrett’s executive command staff include:
- Todd Sparks – Chief Deputy
- David Hailey – Deputy Chief of Law Enforcement
- Patrick McMurtray – Deputy Chief of Legal Counsel
- Angela Istvanditsch – Captain of Administration
- Barry Hendrixson – Administrative Patrol Captain
- Nick Coble – Operational Patrol Captain
- Will Holton – Captain of Investigations
- Brian Wright – Captain of School Resource Officers
- Chris Kauffman – Captain of Special Operations
- Joey King – Captain of Judicial Services
