Millions in Community Investment at Stake as Murfreesboro Reviews FY28 Grant Process

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS News) — The Murfreesboro Community Investment Trust Committee on Contributions will meet Tuesday, August 18, to begin looking ahead to the FY28 grant cycle while also reviewing the progress of organizations receiving funding during the current fiscal year.

The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Murfreesboro Municipal Airport Business Center Community Room, located at 1930 Memorial Boulevard. According to the city’s meeting notice, committee members are expected to review the FY28 grant cycle and award evaluation process, FY27 mid-year reports, the final report form and the current status of the Community Investment Trust.

The agenda indicates several of those items could lead to committee action. Members will first consider approval of minutes from their February 10 meeting before discussing possible changes to the FY28 grant cycle and the process used to evaluate future awards.
