MURFREESBORO — Rockvale won a home thriller Friday night, defeating Station Camp 31-30 after stopping a two-point conversion with 15 seconds to go when the Rockets’ Caden Sledge intercepted a Colton Overbey pass to clinch a 2-0 start for the Rockets.
“We have a lot of things to correct but for us to be 2-0 after all that we have went through is amazing,” Rockvale coach James Counce said. “We just made the plays to win. Sometimes it looks ugly, but we did what we had to do.”
“What a high school football game,” Station Camp coach Chris Bain said. “We just continue to fight. Not many people around the state gave us a chance, but I wouldn’t take my team for anything. Rockvale is a good football team and will surprise some people.”…
