Human remains found in Tennessee are believed to be linked to a woman who went missing during Hurricane Helene nearly two years ago.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office shared on Facebook that deputies have been “investigating a scene in the Jackson Island area where human remains were found by debris removal specialists.”
The sheriff’s office said that, after the remains were taken to the medical examiner at the William Jenkins Forensics Center at ETSU, they are believed to be from a victim of the Hurricane Helene flood…
