NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) reported it is seeing an increase in drugs made from Kratom being sold in Tennessee.
The products are labeled as “Cat’s Claw” and contain MGM-15, which is a compound made from Kratom, according to the TBI.

The TBI reported Cat’s Claw is a South American vine, which is legal to purchase and consume in Tennessee. Kratom, in any form, is illegal in Tennessee and the TBI reported it has been associated with multiple deadly overdoses.
