State drug agents clamped down on illicit vapes, gummies, and kratom across Jackson and Brownsville, warning the unregulated products have triggered overdoses and deaths across multiple counties. Agents confiscated thousands of grams of marijuana, illegal kratom, and products testing nearly fifty times above Tennessee’s 0.3% legal THC threshold.
In Dyer county, terror turned to relief after a 10-year-old girl was pulled through her bedroom window and an intruder dragged her into the woods, tied her to a tree with a belt, and threatened her with a knife. The child managed to break free. Detectives recovered a belt, vape, and sweatshirt at the scene. Thanks to rapid DNA processing, authorities arrested 30-year-old Steven Devonte Harris within 24 hours.
“We arrived on the scene shortly after that. The child was taken to the hospital just to be checked out, but she appeared to be fine. And again, that’s a blessing. We thank God that child was not seriously hurt or injured,” said Chief Greg Barr, Newbern Police Department…
