Man severely burned after propane explosion in Rutherford County

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was flown to a hospital after he was severely burned following a propane explosion in Rutherford County, officials said.

According to Rutherford County Fire and Rescue, crews were sent to the 5900 block of Halls Hill Pike to respond to a residential fire on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they reportedly observed a camper engulfed in flames, which had spread to a nearby home.

As fire crews worked to control the flames, Rutherford County EMS began caring for man who had sustained “severe burns.” Officials said he was flown to a local hospital, but his current condition remains unknown…
