Murfreesboro, Tenn.-A Henry County student is the state winner of this year’s essay contest at the Tennessee Association of Fairs Convention in Murfreesboro. Sophie Staggs of Puryear was announced as the state winner at the convention. She presented her winning essay, was presented an Award of Achievement certificate, a 250th Commemorative Boston Tea Party Coin, and was presented with a check for $500.
