Anglers fish for trash on Percy Priest Lake, pull in massive hauls

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Dozens of teen fishermen helped remove thousands of pounds of trash from the shores of a Middle Tennessee waterway over the weekend. A local trash clean-up “tournament” took place on Percy Priest Lake on Saturday involving anglers from Tennessee Bass Nation, who organized the event along with Tennessee Conservation. Six teams, Music City Bass (encompasses nine high schools in Williamson and Davidson counties), Mt Juliet, Eagleville, Stewarts Creek, Warren County and Portland, collectively gathered 33,322 pounds of trash from the banks.
