January 28, 2024 – Charges are anticipated against the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu involved in Sunday’s 4 a.m. fatal crash on Old Murfreesboro Pike. The Malibu was traveling eastbound towards Reynolds Road when it crossed the double yellow line and struck a westbound Ford Focus head-on.
All occupants, from both vehicles, were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where the passenger of the Focus, Christina Holt Maclin, 26, died.
The Malibu driver, Adrian Edwin, 24, had non-life threatening injuries. A search warrant obtained for his blood sample after he admitted to consuming alcohol.
The 63-year-old driver of the Focus and 23-month-old child in the backseat also had non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
