Suspect in deadly Tuscaloosa apartment shooting arrested in Tennessee

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. ( WIAT ) — A man suspected of being involved in an apartment shooting in Tuscaloosa last month has been arrested in Tennessee.

According to the Shelbyville Police Department, Kyandre Grant was arrested Tuesday at a home on Landers Street in Shelbyville. Grant was arrested through assistance with the U.S. Marshals Service.

Capt. Jack Kennedy with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit confirmed that Grant was wanted on capital murder and robbery charges related to a shooting at the Landmark Apartment Complex on Montgomery Highway in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 28. One person was shot to death in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

Grant is currently in the process of being sent back to Tuscaloosa to face charges.
