The Brentwood Police Department (BPD) in Tennessee is being recognized for its commendable service to the community. Officers from the department, including Sgt. Chris Woodard, have been noted for their life-saving actions and community involvement. One such instance involved Brentwood resident Ted Beard, who expressed gratitude to Woodard for his assistance during a heart attack.

The City of Brentwood is planning to launch a short video series this spring to further showcase the work of the BPD. The first video, which was released on Valentine’s Day, includes a discussion between BPD Chief Richard Hickey and Assistant Chief Jim Colvin about their experiences in Brentwood.

The series will also feature stories about the relationships between officers and residents, such as the one between Woodard and Beard. It will provide an introduction to the department’s leaders, Hickey and Colvin, and their plans for the future of Brentwood. Hickey stressed the importance of a service-oriented mindset in police work and the commitment to improving every situation.
