April 24, 2024 – A traffic stop for a seatbelt violation on Mt. Juliet Road near Providence took an unexpected turn on Tuesday.
During the stop, the officer noticed the 16-year-old male driver, from Jackson, TN, was wearing a ski mask rolled on top of his head. When asked to step out of the vehicle, it became apparent that the young individual was armed with a handgun and an extended magazine.
Swift action was taken, and the teen was promptly arrested and placed in a juvenile detention facility.
