Buzz Cason, songwriter best known for ‘Everlasting Love,’ dies at 84

Buzz Cason, a guiding force in the early days of Nashville rock ‘n’ roll and a writer of the pop standard “Everlasting Love,” a surging profession of undying devotion that reached the pop Top 40 in four consecutive decades, died on June 16, 2024, at his home in Franklin, Tenn.
