Suspect Uses Stolen Credit Card to Purchase Nearly $3K in Gift Cards

On Friday afternoon, Mt. Juliet’s Guardian Shield system played a key role in apprehending a suspect who used a stolen credit card to purchase nearly $3,000 in gift cards at BJ’s Wholesale.

A detailed vehicle description and plate information from the store quickly added the suspect’s car to the department’s hotlist. Shortly after, the system alerted officers as the suspect continued driving through Mt. Juliet.

Officers intercepted the vehicle on Mt. Juliet Rd near Woodridge Pl, leading to the arrest of a 31-year-old Nashville man found with multiple stolen credit cards and pieces of mail.

Detectives are actively investigating his connection to other crimes in the Nashville area.
